"Otaku Wear - Made in Rawmania" was my graduation project. It started out bold and creative but due to financial and technical constrains I had to do a lot of compromise. "Otaku" - is a term that defines an avid fan of japan visual culture (manga, anime, video games, movies). I focused on the Romanian otakus as a target for my project. I slowly pulled the project towards the use of recycled fabrics and army surplus military gear. Also I focused on accessories for this collection, designing hats, bags and cult items like art toys. I did not forgot the importance of graphic design in this project so I designed the invitation for the fashion show and the poster. The style line was inspired from the Tokyo street wear of the mid 90`s documented by the talented photographer Shoichi Aoki.
